Paul Della Guardia

(Former) Financial Economist

Prior to joining the IIF, Paul worked in public financial management at the World Bank in Washington, D.C. and for a political risk firm in New York, where he advised clients on investment risks in emerging and frontier markets. He was previously employed by an economic research consultancy in Côte d’Ivoire and Gabon and began his career conducting macroeconomic research at France’s Directorate General of the Treasury while based in France’s Embassy in Moscow.

Education

Paul holds Master’s degrees from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where he completed the Economic Policy Management program’s Central Banking and Financial Markets track (MPA-EPM), and from the London School of Economics’ Department of Government, where he completed an MSc in Comparative Politics. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Russian from McGill University, has passed the CFA Level I exam and speaks English, French, Russian and Spanish.
